Kitchenaid Toaster – Is this one for You?

by ToasterReviews on November 3, 2009

I am a toaster junkie so to speak. I use toasters for many meals – be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I have bought cheap GE toasters that failed on me and I have bought Black & Decker Toasters that worked great. I have also bought Kitchenaid toasters and do like them best. Currently I am eyeing a Kitchenaid 2-Slice Metal Toaster that comes with a Gloss Cinnamon and Stainless Steel look.

I like the versatility of this toaster. I buy English Muffins in bulk from Costco (cheapest place to buy them – trust me) and I always hate it when a toaster cannot handle the English Muffins. Why? Well, compare a bagel to an English Muffin and the difference in size will tell you. The old Black & Decker Toaster I had looked awesome – black color mixed with stainless steel. But the toaster sucked – I always burned my fingers trying to get the muffins out. Often I had to use a fork and I really hate it using a metal fork inside a toaster that is plugged into a power outlet. I do not want to get an electro shock, you know.

So, this Kitchenaid toaster is designed to handle different type of toaster food. The toaster warm function is awesome – it helps to burn stuff that just needs to be warmed up. Try this – toast a bagel and then touch the toaster on the outside. You can feel how well insulated this toaster is. You will not burn your hands doing this test.

The crumb tray is dishwasher safe so that you do not have to clean it yourself. Just put it in the dishwasher after breakfast and put it back in by the you empty the dishwasher. It’s very easy.

Is this toaster expensive? Well, this is not your $20 toaster – let’s say it right away. Currently the toaster is priced around $40, but I can tell you that you will be pleased with this kitchen appliance. Don’t settle for cheap stuff and then complain again a year down the road. Do it once and do it right with this Kitchenaid toaster.
