How to make a Grilled Cheese Sandwich in a Toaster Oven? Can you actually make a grilled cheese sandwich in a toaster oven or toaster? This is the question I was asked the other day and the answer is “Yes”. Put your 2 slices of toast in the toaster oven and start toasting them as normal. Once the toast is half-way toasted, pull the rack out and put your one slice of cheese on each slice of toast. Back into the toaster oven with the toast.

Now carefully what the cheese melt and once it gets partially melted, open the toaster oven and close the sandwich. Put the sandwich back into the toaster oven for a few more moments and let it “bake” together.

Take the sandwich out of the toaster oven and enjoy.

PS: My favorite toaster oven is the Breville BOV800XL Toaster Oven and it works great making grilled cheese sandwiches.
